Terms and Conditions - Vodafone Christmas Promotion

  • The offer is for Vodafone prepaid customers only.
  • Top Up, subscribe to any Vodafone prepaid plan or purchase any Device and go into the draw to WIN a share of K1,000,000 cash.
  • Any new device purchased for the duration of the promotion MUST be connected to an active Vodafone SIM card to be eligible to enter the weekly and major cash prize draws.
  • The Promotion will start on 31 October 2024 (00.00.00hrs) and end on 26 December 2024 (23.59.59hrs).
  • All successful entries will receive a confirmation SMS. Customers can also dial *170# to check their total entries towards the Major Draw. Entries will be updated every 24 hours.
  • The winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the promotion period with draws scheduled Weekly.
  • The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
  • Vodafone will collect personal information from winners for the purpose of conducting the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to the media, agents, contractors and service providers.
  • Prize can only be won/collected by registered owner of the sim card. If you win, Vodafone will contact you by telephone.
  • A maximum of three (3) attempts will be made to call the Winner within a period of twenty-four (24) hours. If you do not answer any of our calls, you forfeit your chance to win. We will select another eligible Customer to be the Winner.
  • Winners agree to participate in any publicity or marketing activities as requested by Vodafone, including but not limited to providing testimonials, photos, and videos. Customer must permit use of full name for all media postings and photographs to be taken for PR purposes to be eligible to win.
  • Customer must be at least 18 years of age to win or claim a prize. In the instance where the winner is less than 18 years, the prize will be awarded to a legal guardian.
  • Winner must have an active bank account from one of the 3 major commercial banks – BSP, Kina Bank or Westpac.
  • Winners will be announced Weekly via Vodafone PNG social media platforms. The Winners selected by Vodafone officials are deemed to be final.
  • Vodafone reserves the right to disqualify any Customer who violates any of these terms and conditions, or who engages in any fraudulent or inappropriate conduct.
  • By participating in the promotion, Customers agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Vodafone reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Papua New Guinea.

FAQs - Vodafone Christmas Promotion

  1. What is the Christmas promotion about?

    Vodafone has launched its Christmas promotion that offers Vodafone’s valued prepaid customers the opportunity to go into the draw to WIN a share of K1,000,000 cash. The major prize will see 20 lucky winners—5 from each region win K10,000 each. Additionally, there will be 40 weekly winners who will each receive K2,500 for eight consecutive weeks. The promotion also includes unbeatable discounts on smartphones and data bundles.

  2. What are the promotion dates?

    The Promotion will start on 31 October 2024 (00.00.00hrs) and end on 26 December 2024 (23.59.59hrs).

  3. Who is eligible for this Promotion?

    Vodafone’s prepaid customers only.

  4. How does a customer qualify for this promotion?

    To qualify for this Promotion and get into the draw to win a share of K1,000,000 cash, customers need to either Top Up, subscribe to any Vodafone prepaid plan or purchase any device. 

    Note: Any new device purchased for the duration of the promotion MUST be connected to an active Vodafone SIM to be eligible to enter the weekly and major cash prize draws.

  5. What type of prizes can I win?

    Prize giveaways for the Christmas promotion will be awarded through the Weekly and Major cash Prize draws.

    • Weekly Draw – There will be Forty (40) randomly selected winners per week who will win Cash prizes over eight weeks. The details of the winners with photos will be shared on Vodafone’s social media platforms.

    • Twenty (20) Major Prize winners will be drawn on Monday 30th December 2024.

  6. How will the winner redeem the prizes?

    The draws will be conducted at Vodafone Haus in the presence of the Police and Vodafone senior management team and the prizes distributed as follows:

  7. How will I know if I have earned a qualifying entry into the draw?
    • When you Top Up or Subscribe to a plan, you will receive a customized SMS notification to confirm your entry into the draw.
    • When you purchase any device, your number will automatically be entered into the draw.
    • Dial *170# to check your entries.

  8. How will the prize winners be selected?

    During the promotional period, customers will be randomly selected in the Weekly and Major Prize draws. The major prize draw will take place at the Vodafone Haus in the presence of the Police and Vodafone senior management team.

     

  9. How will the winner be notified?
    • If you win, Vodafone will contact you by telephone.
    • A maximum of three (3) attempts will be made to call the Winner within a period of twenty-four (24) hours.
    • If you do not answer any of our calls, you forfeit your chance to win. We will select another eligible customer to be the Winner and repeat the process outlined above.

       

  10. What do I need to know about claiming the Prizes if I am a winner?
    • During the phone call, full details of the Weekly and Major Prize handover (redemption) process and locations will be confirmed.
    • You will need to present a valid Government issued photo ID (Passport, National Identification Card or Drivers License) and the phone number used to participate in the promotion.
    • In the absence of a valid identification card or related documents to verify identity, the customer will need to be accompanied by a reputable person who presents his identification card or document and verifies the customers identity (a reputable person is a respectable person of standing in the community such as a Commissioner of Oaths, a member of the disciplinary forces, a ward member, a village court magistrate or a church pastor who is a registered SIM card holder).
    • Prize can only be won/collected by the registered owner of the sim card. A redraw will be done where the mobile number and sim registration details do not match.
    • Winners MUST have an active bank account from either one of the 3 major commercial banks - BSP, Kina Bank or Westpac.
    • Customer must permit photographs to be taken for PR purposes in order to be eligible to win.

       

  11. Who is not included from participating in the Promotion? 

              The following customers are excluded from participating in the promotion:

  • Postpaid Corporate & Business Account customers.
  • Any person who at any time on or after April 1st, 2022, was or is a Director, Officer, Employee, or agent of Vodafone PNG or any of their respective parent, subsidiaries, divisions, or affiliated companies, franchises or service agencies, independent contractors or suppliers of service to Vodafone PNG.
  • Vodafone PNG employees and their family members.
  • Employees and the family members of employees of any company associated with the promotion, including any provider of the Grand Prize.
  • Persons under the age of eighteen (18); and
  • Persons who do not reside in PNG
