Borrow Credit on Loan (IOU) Service

Do you have insufficient funds in your balance, but you really need to connect with a loved one or get online? You can borrow credit on loan to make calls, send SMS and buy plans. A total deduction of the Borrowed Amount plus a K0.20 Borrowing Fee will be done upon the next TopUp or credit transfer until the amount is paid off.

Terms & Conditions

• The IOU Credit on Loan service is available to Vodafone Prepaid customers.
• Customers can borrow either K3 or K5 by dialling *151# or using the MyVodafone App. IOU Loaned Credit is activated once you receive a confirmation SMS. IOU Loaned credit is valid for 30 days from the time of borrowing.
• Upon the next Top-Up or credit transfer, a total repayment of K3.20 (for K3 loan, inclusive of a 20 toea service fee) or K5.50 (for K5 loan, inclusive of a 50 toea service fee) will be automatically deducted to clear the loan
• To qualify for the Credit on Loan (IOU) service, the customers number must be registered, active on the Vodafone network for at least 3 months, have completed a minimum K5 Top Up every month, have a real credit balance below K3, and have no outstanding loan balance. Customers must fully clear any previous loan to be eligible to borrow again.
• Outstanding loan balance can be checked by dialling *151#. The IOU Credit on Loan service is a promotional offer valid until further notice.
• Vodafone reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion at its discretion at any time.
